SAFETY

Wood Harvest Incorporated (WHI) is committed to a safe working culture.  From our management personnel to our operators in the field, the focus on safety starts with orientation that continues to our ongoing education and training and recurring safety communication.  Our crews conduct monthly safety meetings incorporating current working conditions, weather, and other site-specific hazards. Our crew leaders receive the proper safety training to lead crews with the goal of everyone going home at the end of the day.  Wood Harvest are current members of ISNet World.

 

WHI’s safety training includes:

• OSHA 10 Hour Construction training

• All drivers completed defensive driver training

• First Aid/CPR trained

• Monthly safety training

• DOT safety:  5.9% vehicle out-of-service compared to national average of 20.7%. Driver out-of-service 0% compared to national average of 5.5%. SAFETY rating satisfactory since 2004.

• Drug and alcohol testing program

• Formal fleet safety program

• Formal employee safety program

• Physical abilities testing for some positions.
