COMPANY
We started the company in 1992 with humble beginnings, after 7 years of quality workmanship we started to develop larger business opportunities. We expanded into forestry and land clearing around 1998 introducing the name Wood Harvest Incorporated (WHI). At this point we combined our knowledge, skill and expertise to expand into larger markets with a focused approach on specific services. Wood Harvest continues to recruit the best talent, use the safest equipment, and strive for excellence in all that we do.

North Carolina’s forest land is one of the greatest influences on the state, providing economic value and adding immeasurably to the quality of life for its residents. The forest products industry is the largest manufacturing business sector in the state, contributing approximately $34.9 billion annually to the state’s economy and providing around 148,000 jobs for North Carolinians. The NC Forest Service’s primary purpose is to ensure adequate and quality forest resources for the state to meet its present and future needs.
The North Carolina Forestry Association’s ProLogger Program was officially started in 1994 in response to a record 13 timber harvesting fatalities in North Carolina in 1993.
In a cooperative effort directed by the NCFA, Forestry Mutual Insurance Company, the North Carolina Department of Labor, North Carolina State Highway Patrol, and the North Carolina Forest Service share teaching responsibilities during the ProLogger Base Class. The base course promotes safety, business, and environmental awareness. All loggers who want to become a ProLogger must take the Base Class, which includes one day of classroom discussion and one field day.
